BESS Engineer | Renewable Energy Portfolio Ownership

Aula Energy is building a portfolio of solar, wind and battery assets that will power Australia’s clean energy future. We are seeking a BESS Engineer to support the development, delivery and performance of our growing storage portfolio.
You will
· Provide technical expertise to battery energy storage system (BESS) projects across the project lifecycle from early development through construction and into operations and asset management
· Perform technical assessments for our energy storage and hybrid technology projects including preliminary designs, layout optimisations, tender activities, and ongoing asset performance assessments.
· Support technology selection and inputs to grid connection activities
· Provide technical inputs into Aula’s standards and procedures
· Coordinate external engineering advisors and subject matter experts
· Support procurement and tender evaluations including OEM reviews
· Participate in design reviews and support construction and commissioning
· Support performance optimisation through delivery and operations
· Contribute to management through the identification of technical and HSE risks
You bring
· A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
· 3–5 years’ experience working with BESS projects
· Advanced understanding of BESS technology, inverter performance and control systems
· Strong technical and communication skills
· Experience with techno-economic analysis will be viewed favourably
· A proactive, collaborative mindset and ability to engage with multi-disciplinary team members
