HSE Manager - 12 month FTC
We are looking for our next HSE Advisor superstar
12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Aula Energy is building a portfolio of solar, wind and battery assets that will power the clean energy future.
As our portfolio grows across development, construction and operations, we are looking for an experienced HSE professional to strengthen the practical delivery of health, safety and environmental outcomes across our business and projects.
This is a broad, hands-on HSE role working across projects, assets, contractors and corporate systems. You will bring practical judgement, credible advice and strong assurance capability to help our teams identify and manage risk, meet their obligations and continuously improve how we work.
Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety and Environment, you will work closely with our development, delivery, technical and operations teams, as well as contractors and delivery partners, to help ensure our projects and assets are delivered safely, responsibly and to a high standard.
What You’ll Do
Implement, maintain and continuously improve HSE systems, procedures, tools and reporting.
Provide practical, risk-based HSE advice across development, construction and operational activities.
Partner with project teams and contractors to identify, assess and effectively manage HSE risks.
Undertake inspections, audits and assurance activities, including action tracking, close-out and HSE reporting.
Support effective contractor HSE management through tender reviews, contractor forums, assurance activities and performance monitoring.
Facilitate risk assessments, incident investigations, corrective actions and emergency preparedness activities.
Monitor environmental obligations and risks, and contribute to effective management and improvement initiatives.
Promote positive HSE behaviours through site engagement, toolbox activities, communications and learning initiatives.
Contribute to HSE planning and continuous improvement, including sharing lessons learned and applying relevant industry insights across the business.
What You Bring
Demonstrated HSE experience within renewable energy, utilities, infrastructure, construction or a similar project-based environment.
Strong working knowledge of HSE management systems, risk management, incident management, audits and assurance.
Experience working across contractor and subcontractor environments, with a sound understanding of contractor HSE management and assurance.
Strong practical judgement and the ability to identify issues, assess risk and provide clear, pragmatic advice.
A practical, collaborative approach, with the credibility and confidence to engage and influence employees, contractors, project leaders and other stakeholders.
The ability to work autonomously, navigate competing priorities and operate effectively across project, site and office environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate HSE requirements into practical actions and outcomes.
A relevant qualification in Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
